TBE is your preferred partner for design studies, implementations and licensing paths. In close collaboration with the client, we shape the safe design of the nuclear installation in a cost-efficient way. Therefore, we consider the full lifecycle of your installation, e.g. by minimising decommissioning and waste costs at design. Our large on-the-field experience allows us to implement nuclear safety principles efficiently from the early design phase of your installation. We provide the legal required nuclear safety and security studies for your license application, and we are up to date with the international legislation and their national translations.

Expertise

TBE has a recognized expert team for radiophysics shielding, activation and criticality calculations for the core design of your installation. We are familiar with Monte Carlo codes (MCNP, PHITS, SERPENT, FLUKA), deterministic codes (Microshield), activation codes (SCALE, FISPACT), and criticality codes (MCNP, KENO, …). Our ISO-27001 certification confirms that your nuclear data is in secure hands.

Safety

Additionally, TBE can perform in-depth qualitative risk assessments on your installation, design or procedures. These assessments are carefully executed to make sure that the authorities have sufficient proof and insurance that the appropriate risks are considered and dealt with. TBE can assist in the further implementation of safety improvements or the human engineering aspects of complex procedures with manual interventions.
